I have huge respect and appreciation for Sarah Smith . She is one of the most passionate and caring people I have ever met. With a constant warm smile, she performs with an infectious energy that radiates a feeling of love, that truly uplifts everyone in the audience. She managed almost 300 shows in 2013 and is by far one of the hardest working musicians in Canada. If that isn’t impressive enough, she also achieved National recognition with her band called “The Joys,” who also were known to perform over 250 shows a year. “The Joys” earned the certified GOLD status in Canada, and fans still play their music with joy.
Sarah embarked on a solo career with Grammy and Juno winning Kevin Doyle who produced her debut solo CD “Stronger Now.” Her hit song “Shine Bright”, gained radio play across Canada and helped Sarah to win numerous awards, including: (A)- 2013 – Best Songwriter at the JRMAs (B) 2012 – Best Singer/Songwriter at the London Music Awards and (C) #1 Album of 2012 by The London Free Press [Owned by Quebecor QMI Corporation CP].
She has just released her second CD titled “The Journey” – again produced in Germany by world class producer Pat Anthony (Usher). You can find Sarah rocking all over Ontario, plus frequent tours across Canada. For gigs away from home, she now tours Germany and the Netherlands with more to come.
Not long ago Sarah had the pleasure of chatting with Artie Kornfeld (a legendary Music Producer and the Promoter of Woodstock ’69). You can listen to their interview AND the world-premiere of some of Sarah’s new music by following the link in the Supplemental section below.
Sarah’s raspy, powerful, yet warm vocals combined with her amazing energy and deep lyrics are a must have in any music collection. Sarah lives in London, Ontario.
