Haldimand-Norfolk MPP seeking citizen nominations for Diamond Jubilee Medal program

The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal is intended to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. 60,000 medals are to be minted.

Simcoe, Ontario – In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne, MPP Toby Barrett is seeking input from the community for the Diamond Jubilee Medal program. http://www.gg.ca/document.aspx?id=14019&lan=eng

“As an MPP I have the opportunity to nominate up to 14 people from Haldimand-Norfolk,”  Toby Barrett said. “So I am asking for the assistance of all those who are involved in their communities to submit names of worthy individuals.”

Keep in mind that worthy candidates should 1) have helped build the Canada of today 2) have distinguished themselves from others in their field by their achievements and sustained contributions 3) be highly respected in their community 4) represent the demographics of Haldimand-Norfolk
